What is Ozone?
Ozone (O3) is a gas that kills bacteria, viruses and fungi within 40 seconds. It has been used for many years as a common water and air purifier, and is naturally produced in our atmosphere during lightening & thunderstorms.

Is HealOzone Right For Me?
We use a small laser, the Diagnodent, to look inside the surface of your teeth. It measures the density of the tooth on a scale of 0-100 and gives us an idea of how far your decay has progressed. At that time we can tell you if HealOzone is the best option for your cavities.
The procedure itself is very fast & easy.
We use a special suction cup handpiece is used to focus Ozone onto the decayed area. We use the HealOzone handpiece with a small silicone cup attachment over the affected area, this seals tightly & a small amount of Ozone is focused onto the decay. The Ozone flows in & cures decay (by killing the bacteria causing decay), and then is simply sucked away into the unit where it is safely converted back into the ordinary air we breathe. Once these bacteria have been eliminated, a special remineralization fluid is placed on the cleaned area which begins the healing treatment immediately.
What about after treatment?

How do I know if it has worked?
At a future visit we will check the Diagnodent laser readings to confirm it's success.
